The mug is a gift for my son. It seems really good quality; the bassoon design goes all the way round the mug and is eye catching and stylish. One of the best double reed gift items I have seen. It hasn't been in the diswasher yet, so cannot comment on that. I know my son will love it!
This reed water cup is awesome and is extremely convenient. I use it for clarinet and bass clarinet reeds, and, despite the reed cups' small size, it can fit both soprano and bass clarinet reeds.
I used to use Britannia reeds as they were consistently reliable. Then I found out they are discontinued. In looking for an alternative I decided to try out Marsden bassoon reeds and although it did need breaking in, after a few weeks I am happy with my purchase.
Nice-looking case. Would be helpful to have dimensions and a photo on the website listing. Tall enough to fit my baroque oboe reeds with the bottom staple attached, although I think it is designed just to hold the reeds on their own, as the spring mechanism doesn’t work so well if the reed is stored with the bottom staple on.
